The NEXT Ad Agency project is based on the brief from the Steelcase Student Design Competition.*
The 16,000 sq. ft. workplace spans levels 6 and 7 of 811 W Fulton Market in Chicago, designed for NEXT Ad Agency to enhance both employee experience and client engagement. Rooted in the company’s core values of quality, user experience, and progress, the design balances the contrasting needs of both collaborative and individual focus areas to support diverse workflows. Thoughtfully selected materials foster comfort and promote employee wellness.
Drawing inspiration from the city grid and nearby "L" train system—short for "elevated"—the space reflects a commitment to elevating connections among in-person, hybrid, and remote workers through technology and a strong sense of company culture. A partnership with the chosen brand, Faber-Castell, introduces a branded pop-up and retail area showcasing their products, further enhancing the dynamic workplace environment.
